Child Advocacy Motivates Rimi College Teachers in Schools Motivational Tour

As part of theSchools Motivational Tour project, Child Advocacy in partnership with CLEDA AFRICA organised a Teacher Training for the staff of Rimi College Kaduna, where the teachers were trained on "Tools for Making Learning Effective, Engaging and Enjoyable."

The teachers had a great time, in an interactive Session led by a  committed educationist with many years of experience in teaching and school administration, Dr Gospel Ikpeme and Teacher Lola. Teachers  were encouraged to, among other things, discover what motivates their Learners and then channel this knowledge towards a more rewarding learning experience for the learners.

The teachers had a chance to ask questions and express their thoughts in a question and answer session. A pertinent question asked was how to successfully manage a class of about fifty to eighty students with some sitting on the floor. The facilitator enjoined teachers to use modern teaching methods such as grouping of students to solve this problem.

Feedback from the teachers showed that they learnt a lot and would be willing to participate in subsequent training.

Child Advocacy has three more government schools to cover. Kudos to Child Advocacy and CLEDA Africa for putting together such a brilliant project.
